In Review: Nubian Heritage Indian Hemp and Tamanu Strengthen and Grow Moisturizing Co-Wash

Read additional deets below please! 🙂

I purchased this product from my local CVS. Please contact the company for additional information on where to find the product (the line has also been seen at Target and Walgreens).

Ingredients: Deionized water, coconut oil, shea butter, mango seed butter, cetyl esters, kaolin clay, grapeseed oil, jojoba seed oil, behentrimonium chloride, hemp seed oil, tamanu oil, aloe vera extract, panthenol, bamboo extract, tiare flower, essential oil blend, garlic extract, willow bark extract, neem oil, sorbitol esters, vitamine e, sea salt, rosemary, caprylyl glycol

Pros: Softens hair/smell/great detangler/great slip
Cons: Difficult to completely cleanse (my) hair in one wash, namely in the front
Verdict: I will most likely buy this product again, but will not add it to my HG list b/c of the requirement of washing my hair twice.

Have you thought about using a shower mirror? I’m going to get one because
I hate finding gunk in my hair after I get out of the shower.

Whole Foods carries Nubian Heritage products. You could ask them to special
order it if it’s not in your local store.

You and your big old bun are so cute. Love that you’re back making videos.
I agree with the build up thing i have longer dense hair too, alot of creme
cleansers I have tried tend to do that to me.

I’m not sure if it has protein or soybean oil – sorry, I can’t remember. I
mention the cost and size in the video – around $11 for 12oz.

I tried those products and my hair hated them all! If shea butter is the
main ingredient it just sits on top of my hair and chill.

Love this product! I agree it should be used twice or I use it as a follow
up to shampoo (contains sulfate a but needed for dandruff) and my hair
feels great. This is the closest I have come to co-washing b/c I prefer
    using shampoo.

I too have problems with cleansing conditioners leaving stuff behind. It
really breaks my heart because I LOVE the way they make my hair feel but
then I get out of the shower and am like “dang it” when I part my hair.
Sometimes I get back in and rewash…others I just roll with it until the
next day. lol I’ll probably still try this though b//c that’s just what I
    do!

I am so in love with this stuff, I apply it like a relaxer and massage it
in for about 10 minutes and then wash it out. I wish they made it in a deep
conditioner. My hair is a lot shorter then yours. Love your hair by the
    way.

You could dilute it with apple cider vinegar. That would add to the
cleansing ability and not take away too much in the conditioning area. It
might affect the smell, but if you rinse well, it won’t leave a scent on
    your hair.

This is the only near-complete review I’ve seen of this line! I LOVE the
cowash, masque (especially mixed with coconut milk and grapeseed oil),
serum and edge taffy. I need to get my hands on the shampoo, gel and
custard though. Would Walgreens have it, you think?
