‘More Research Is Needed, But Difficult to Fund Due to Stigma, Experts Say’

Hester-Perez made her decision to try giving her 10-year-old son, Joey Perez, medical marijuana after his weight had become dangerously low due to his unwillingness to eat. She said that at the time she began the approach, he weighed only 46 pounds.
“You could see the bones in his chest. He was going to die,” she said.
“The marijuana balanced my son,” said Hester-Perez, noting that she has never used marijuana herself. “My son had self-injurious behaviors. He was extremely aggressive, he would run out of our house… he was a danger to himself and others.”
But just hours after she gave him one of the pot-infused brownies, she said she could see a change — both in his appetite and demeanor.
“Within hours, he requested foods we had never seen him eat before,” said Hester-Perez.

Thank you for this video. My son is severely autistic with savage self
injurious behavior. He goes through health damaging insomnia, self abuse
and anorexia. My son as well, has had adverse effects to anti-psychotics.
In fact, he’s been hospitilized severeal times from adverse reactions to
anti-psychotics. Medical cannabis hasn’t shown these terrible reactions.
Though, I am no raving advocate for MMJ for autism, and in fact, have been
an anti-MMJ person, I have found this therapy to be good.

I can also guarantee you that the ritalin and probably some other fairly
heavy substances are getting him way more “stoned” than the brownies are.

@ObamamustnukeFoxnews – It helps people Physically and Mentally helps. It
gives people hope. Because of the illegal and irrational laws which have
been passed in this country (and elsewhere in the world), we are 30 or 40
years behind on Cannibis research.

We have in our brains receptors specifically created/designed only for THC
and the other cannabinoids in Marijuana. This is a design by God. It is
perfect. Humans cannot do better. Is it just by accident? I think not. The

the medical providers are saying “IT COULD BE DANGEROUS” BECAUSE THEY
HAVEN’T PATENTED IT YET TO MAKE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES. there’s tons of
medicines out there (which i believe aided in killing my mother) that were
not proven but were used to test patients…so bullshit to the FDA for
making everything about money especially HEALTH

It baffles me that people before the internet was really around would say
“Where’s your proof” and now there are 1000’s of documented experiences and
studies to disprove anything the Government has said about Cannabis, if you
believe the propaganda with evidence like this then you’re a moron. I’m an
adult with autism, Cannabis makes me feel so normal and like everyone else
I cannot describe, and people who are sick don’t get this mind boggling
high a perfectly healthy person would get from it.

I suffered a brain injury, Chronic Neuropathic Pain, PTSD (from being
neglected and mistreated), and Arthritis as a result of being thrown from,
dragged, and crushed by three rail cars. I only use marijuana for all my
symptoms. Works great but I cannot get enough and any long delays in
getting this medicine causes me much distress.
