Marijuana Legalization 2016 Risks: Weed Causes Long-Term Verbal Memory Loss

Smoke Two Joints in the Morning, Smoke Two More at Night, Legalizing Marijuana is the Number One Suggestion in President Obama’s Virtual Suggestion Box
Marijuana Legalization

The Register published a story yesterday regarding President-Elect Barak Obama’s experiment with a public suggestion box over at change.gov. Change.gov is a sort of government suggestion box where people can ask questions or offer suggestions to the newly elected President that supposedly he’s going to consider. Users on the site can vote suggestions up or down. And the top suggestion amongst the thousands offered to the new President. Yep, you got it, people wanna get high, legally.

From the Register:

"Obama’s Change.gov site will close down its internet suggestion box today, after a week of taking suggestions and opinions on the new administration’s executive policy from the web public at large. In standard Web 2.0 fashion, users can vote up or down on existing entries — the theory being that the best schemes will rise to top.

Supposedly, the "top ideas" will be presented directly to the new Commander-in-chief in the form of a "Citizen’s Briefing Book" following his inauguration on January 20.

Barring any massive last-minute changes, the tip-top idea will be best summarized by the philosopher/poet Chris Tucker in his cinematic role as Smokey: "I’m gunna get you high today, ’cause it’s Friday; you ain’t got no job…and you ain’t got shit to do."

There are lots of other interesting ideas that the general public has come up with including suggestions for bullet trains and light rail, ending Govt sponsored abstinence programs, creating a more green country, etc. But top of the list is legalizing pot.

Barack Obama of course is the first President who has admitted that he smoked pot in the past and actually inhaled frequently because "that was the point."

With the budget woes that are currently facing the country, certainly legalizing marijuana could provide for a windfall of Government revenue. It was largely the need for tax revenues that got the government to end the prohibition against alcohol back after the Great Depression. In an interesting editorial in the San Francisco Chronicle last week the tax benefits of legalizing marijuana were raised once again with the argument being made that the State of California could possibly address our current budget woes by a tax on the popular drug:

"The marijuana crop is valued at .8 billion annually – nearly double the value of our vegetable and grape crops combined. Our state is the nation’s top marijuana producer. Indeed, the average annual value of our marijuana crop is more than the combined value of wheat and cotton produced in the entire United States.

According to government surveys, 14.5 million Americans use marijuana at least monthly but both the producers and consumers of this crop escape paying any taxes whatsoever on it. While precise figures are impossible given the illicit nature of the market, it is reasonable to suggest that California could easily collect at least .5 billion and maybe as much as billion annually in additional tax revenue, if we took marijuana out of the criminal underground and taxed and regulated it, similar to how handle beer, wine and tobacco."

It will be interesting what our new President has to say about legalizing marijuana if he has the political gumption to actually broach the subject. Certainly almost 100,000 people on the internet have. One person though who it looks like doesn’t support marijuana legalization is Obama’s pick for Surgeon General, Sanjay Gupta.

U.S. Weed Channel Debuts On Roku As First Dedicated Cannabis Focused Television Shows

posted in: Hemp Legislation 0

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) June 05, 2014

The United States Weed Channel, Inc. today announced the launch of a special video channel that provides educational and entertainment programming strictly based around cannabis content. The channel, now available on Roku is also being prepped for distribution on Amazon, Apple, Google and other streaming networks.

The U.S. Weed Channel (USWC) is the brainchild of entrepreneur and activist Shane Doull, who was arrested twice and forced to close down his medical cannabis dispensary and face California’s Superior Court system. “I did everything correctly–to the letter of the law and still was arrested,” states Doull. “When law enforcement can’t get it right, it sends the wrong signal to the general public. I felt it was important to have an outlet to inform the American public about everything related to marijuana.”

Twenty states and the District of Columbia already have legalized medical or recreational marijuana. (Missouri legislators have approved a limited bill to allow the use of hemp extract to treat some people with epilepsy; it is awaiting Gov. Jay Nixon’s signature.) Several states – including Florida (medicinal), New York (medicinal) and California (recreational) – are considering some form of legalization. Poll after poll reveal a march toward legalization, with a recent CNN national survey showing 55 percent of all Americans now favor it, compared to just 16 percent some 25 years ago.

(See chart: http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=000881)

USWC’s series of free programs keeps the adult viewer up-to-date with information related to the legalization of marijuana, provides factual knowledge in an educational format, safety tips, newscasts, medical updates and insightfully analyzes recent social acceptance. The channel also provides a lighter look at marijuana activity as well, with shows such as the “420 Honeys Gameshow”, “Happy Farmers”, “Comfort Cannabis Cookery” and even a “Chill Channel” where you can just watch the grass grow, literally.

USWC is advertiser and viewer-donation supported, thus free to the general public. However, viewers are encouraged to join the the ‘Be A Bud Club’ where members can receive prizes, free products from supporting advertisers, gain access to live events before other viewers and other benefits.

Aliens Are Stealing Weed

Why Aliens Are Stealing Weed

Aliens, as in Extra-terrestrial beings, are stealing massive amounts of Marijuana from un-suspecting growers. Pot Farmers, too embarrassed to tell anyone, and scared of authorities who could arrest them- are caught between a rock and a hard spot. There are three reasons why Alien theft of Cannabis is occurring. First, only planet Earth has the vegetative growth necessary for ideal Herb in this Solar System. Next, the relaxation of Pot Laws and proliferation of Medical Marijuana dispensaries, have created a glut of Marijuana all over the U.S. Finally, Alien beings seem to really dig Weed. If we examine a rich, deep-dark, Nitrogen loaded soil like California or Volcanic-rich Hawaii, with natural Rain and Sun balance, nothing else in the Galaxy comes close! Look at Mercury for example, no water and really hot days with really cold nights- not conducive to Cannabis Cultivation. How about Venus? Its water isn’t liquid, light rays are let in- but not out, and Dust storms sometimes cover the entire Planet.  All through-out the Inter-planetary System, deficiencies of some sort exist. Aliens may have some sort of honing system tuned in to T.H.C. levels. These Trichomosome levels are probably off the charts due to the massive amounts of Pot being produced in the U.S., mega-tons alone just in Cali. In early summer of 1947, Extra-terrestrial debris- including Alien corpses, were retrieved from a Roswell,N.M. crash. Military officials would say that, “a weather balloon”  had crashed. Cali’s border, by UFO standards, is relatively close. An autopsy was performed on the deceased Alien body. Confidential records reveal something interesting. The tiny Alien had 200 times the normal THC content of a student from Northern California. In addition, the Aliens oral cavity was like a combustion chamber, Cannabis incinerator if you like- able to vaporize Marijuana at temperatures unknown to Humans. Until Pot Farmers and authorities come to some kind of Summit regarding these phenomena, all Pot sheds should be locked and guarded with canines- Aliens hate and fear Dogs.

Cannabis, Hemp and Legal Weed

cannabis
by ENAS_

The cannabis plant was one of the very first plants to be domesticated some eight to ten thousand years ago, and remained one of the world’s most important crops right up until the end of the nineteenth century.

There are three types of cannabis plant that each belong to separate subspecies, two of which have been used by humans for millennia, and selectively bred for certain characteristics. Cannabis sativa is a tall woody annual plant that can grow as much as fifteen to twenty feet high in a single growing season. The plant produces strong and versatile fibres and highly nutritious seeds, but produces a very small amount of THC making it useless to those who use cannabis for recreational or ceremonial purposes.

Cannabis indica produces leafy flowers that secrete a resinous substance laden with the psychoactive compound THC. The perception-altering properties of this plant have been discovered and utilised by many Old-World civilizations, and indeed every one of the world’s five extant major religions has made use of cannabis indica for ceremonial (used as incense) or ritualistic/spiritual (smoked or ingested to alter perception) purposes. Cannabis indica was also a very important plant in herbal medicine, having a wide variety of uses.

Both hemp and cannabis were widely grown in European countries and North America right up until the end of the nineteenth century, when technological advances and discoveries of new materials led to a decline in the use of hemp fibre. Hemp was poised to make a comeback in the nineteen-thirties following the invention of a new technique that would massively increase the efficiency of hemp-pulp production to make paper. Unfortunately, a newspaper baron who owned huge tracts of logging forest and the mills that produced his paper began a vicious smear campaign against hemp and cannabis, eventually succeeding in getting hemp banned altogether in the US, a position that still stands even though hemp is such an incredibly useful crop.

Of course, as is usually the case, prohibiting a substance does not stop its use, and in many cases increases it. Historically the recreational use of cannabis was a very rare thing, and few people would have tried it. In these days of prohibition, cannabis is the most widely abused illegal drug of all, with an estimated twenty-four million people having tried it in the US alone.

Many people who would like to use cannabis but are worried about its illegality seek cannabis substitutes, or ‘legal weed’. These legal weeds are usually blended from mildly psychoactive plants that are legally available, or take the form of ‘legal buds’, which are a cannabis-like flower bud to which legal psychoactive chemicals have been added. There are many different legal weeds available, but the strongest usually contain the herbs Lions Tail and Mugwort.

Rasta Weed is a powerful legal weed made from a blend of Lion’s tail, Wormwood and Chinese Mugwort. Visit Legal Weed to find out more.
