Mom and daughter chandlers Kim Moses and Connee Scott, founders of Candle Krazy (http://www.candlekrazy.com), are enjoying a brief moment of downtime after hand-pouring, packaging and shipping 100 of their Soy Travel Tin Candles for gifting to celebrities at GBK’s Luxury Gift Lounge in Honor of the 2014 Golden Globes Nominees & Presenters. The gift lounge took place January 10-11, 2014 on the Rooftop Terrace of the L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, California; the Travel Tin Candles were included in the highly sought after The Artisan Group® swag bag.
For the star-studded, pre-Globes gifting event, Candle Krazy was asked by arts promotion organization The Artisan Group® to contribute 100 individually packaged gifts. After much thought, they decided on their 8oz Travel Tin Candle in three scents: White Tea & Ginger, Sweet Orange & Chili Pepper and Lavender. The hand-poured candles are made with 100% soy wax from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and have cotton wicks.
“For the person who is often on the road but loves the ambiance and mood-enhancing fragrance a candle provides, our 100 Percent Soy, Travel Tin Candles are the perfect solution. They’re healthy, eco-friendly and pack easily, so there is no worry about breakage or mess,” noted Kim.

Kim and Connee were especially excited about gifting actress Khandi Alexander from ABC’s “Body of Proof”, since the show was filmed close to home in Philadelphia. They were also pleased to receive thank you tweets from several recipients, including Mateus Ward (“Weeds”, “Lonely Boy”, “Hostages”, “Lab Rats”) and Megan Hayes (“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”).
“This was our first celebrity gifting event with The Artisan Group,” said Kim, “We couldn’t be more pleased with how things have turned out.”
The Travel Tin Candles are available for $ 10.50 at candlekrazy.com, and at select craft shows and gift shops and boutiques around the country.
All Candle Krazy candles are hand-poured by Kim and Connee. The candles are made with 100 percent soy wax that is sourced out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and only cotton, hemp or paper wicks are used. A wide array of scents are available to please any taste, including Amber Vanilla, Cactus and Sea Salt, Cashmere, Farmer’s Market, Hippie Christmas and Olive Tree, to name just a few.
Candle Krazy has many loyal customers who appreciate the company’s green approach, including its use of vintage and recycled glass tumblers and jars. “We get inspiration from our surroundings and from the containers we use,” says Kim. “For example, we fill our vintage jars with scents that coincide with the labels. We are always gratified when customers smell a candle and say, “That reminds me of…””
Candle Krazy is also preparing to introduce its “Happy Hour” line of soy candles, which will be poured into recycled wine, alcohol and beer bottles. The line will be available on Etsy in the coming months.
In other news, Candle Krazy will be contributing to The Artisan Group’s 2014 Mother’s Day collaborative swag bag, which will be delivered to some of Hollywood’s most talked about moms in May.
