Organic Farming Versus Conventional Farming System

posted in: Hemp Farming 0

If you are one of the 81% of farmers still farming conventionally and using chemicals and synthetic fertilizers it is completely understandable.

Why?
Because for decades that’s what has been advocated to the farmer by the industry.

There is so much “proof” – research, trial work, field trials, scientists advocating the merits of conventional farming and you are constantly given proof that you can’t farm profitably without these commercial aids.

Just pick up most farm journals and papers and you’ll find there are reports and editorials which continually reinforce the use of conventional farming products and practices as the only viable way to farm. Sometimes there are reports tossed in to discredit natural farming as being noncommercial and unrealistic. We are told time and time again that conventional industrial farming is the only way we can feed the growing world’s population. Organic farming has lower yields, is more expensive and there is no extra nutritional benefit in the food produced.

Learning a Secrets on Farming can help you on understanding the disbelief that you may have that you can farm without chemicals and synthetic fertilizers and natural biological farming is not viable.

It’s not your fault. It is very hard to give up the trust you have had or still have got in the conventional system and no doubt you have much support in following the system.

However there is a better way for healthier and more profitable farming.

– Trust your eyes. See for yourself.
– Trust what other farmers who have made a change have done.
– Trial some aspects yourself.
– Listen to the new breed of professionals who have witnessed the fantastic turn around farmers have achieved and are achieving. There is a better way to farm and you can see the proof for yourself every month as we take you on our – “Walk the Talk” video of these farmers. Hear from experts like:

Dr Elaine Ingham
Dr Maarten Stapper
Dr Arden Andersen
Jerry Brunetti

These are no pseudo agricultural theorists. They are all scientific experts who have looked at the conventional system and have been provoked to look further. They understand the importance of allowing and assisting Mother Nature to provide a healthy balance and now work with real, small to large scale farmers to get outstanding, profitable results naturally.

Tell me what you would sooner do? Spend hours upon hours, dollars after dollars, year after year spraying, drenching and using deadly toxic products that keep going up in price? It’s awfully costly and time consuming and worst of all damaging to you, your precious soil and to animal health.

Or do you choose to take time to understand once and for all how to reduce, or better still, never have to use so called essential chemicals and synthetic fertilizers again?

Organic Farming

posted in: Hemp Farming 0

The word organic has a number of connotations attached to it. The definition cannot be narrowed to a particular area of study; in fact, the word “organic” spreads over a larger range of areas where it can be applied. The basic definition, however, remains the same because the derivation of the meaning of the word is unanimously universal. Organic is derived from or relates to, living organisms. In the simplest sense of the word, organic is simply organic matter obtained from the use of living organisms.
Anything that involves the use of fertilizers or pesticides which are strictly and solely obtained from animal or vegetable origin are organic in nature.

Raised or carried out without the use of drugs, hormones or synthetics chemicals deems products to be organic in nature, example being organic Cattle rearing. Lifestyle of people can also be organic if it is close to nature or simple and healthy. Organic farming is described as an ecologically balanced approach to farming which does not rely on artificial means to yield products. It is basically not treated with any kind of chemicals or at the most, the minimum amounts of chemicals are used. Foods which are organic are usually believed to be free of artificial additives and processed with the least use of artificial methods.

Surveys and studies have revealed the environmental effects of organic farming and the consensus across these surveys is that organic farming is less detrimental for the following reasons:

1 – Organic farms do not consume or release synthetic pesticides into the environment, which may prove harmful for soil and aquatic life.

2 – They are capable of maintaining a diverse eco system and a balanced one.

3 – Uses less energy and produce less waste.

4 – Adds fertility to soil

5 – Provides boosts the natural resistance of plants and animals against diseases by encouraging the number of natural organisms to flourish.

Apart from benefiting the environment, it is also accredited to organic farming that it increases the yield. However, there are certain critics who refute it by claiming that organic farming can feed a meager number of people compared to the world population and that too after destruction of eco systems and an excess waste of resources. A rebuttal to this statement shows that materials needed for organic farming are easily accessible than those used in conventional farming, and thus organic methods could produce enough food to sustain the world population. The fact of the matter is, that organic farming may benefit the yield in some countries while it may not do the same in others, depending on how developed a country is and obviously because of the availability of materials needed in organic farming. Studies also reveal that organic farming is more energy efficient.

Moreover, organic products are known to have more nutrients as compared to conventionally grown products. Since the soil quality improves as a result of organic farming better taste is also attributed to organic products for this reason.

As given above, organic products are more improved and provide many benefits to the consumers. Usually all organic products have similar characteristics. All such products are free from the use of any synthetic chemicals and are extremely original in nature. Generally organic products are more costly and higher demands of these products are directly related to higher incomes. A number of other factors determine the demand for organic products and the need for an organic lifestyle. The propensity to buy organic products has been related to people’s concern to external or direct personal effects of their usage.

Segun Olowookere recently started his own clothing company called Lowooke who speciallise in designing, producing and distributing a range of clothing aimed at the urban and youth market. The apparel that Lowooke sells is produced using organic materials that have been ethically sourced. You can view their range of Urban Clothing London at http://www.lowooke.com/shop/

Hemp Seed For Weight Reduction

posted in: Hemp 0

Hemp seeds, contain all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary to maintain healthy human life. No other single plant source has the essential amino acids in such an easily digestible form, nor has the essential fatty acids in as perfect a ratio to meet human nutritional needs.

Approximately 35% of the weight of hempseed is hempseed oil, an edible oil that contains about 80% essential fatty acids(EFAs); i.e., linoleic acid, omega-6 linoleic acid 55%), alpha-linolenic acid, omega-3 alpha linoleic acid(22%), in addition to gamma-linolenic acid(GLA), omega-6 GLA ( 1-4%) and stearidonic acid(SDA), omega-3 SDA( 0-2%). Whole hempseed also contains about 25% of a highly-digestible protein, where 1/3 is edestin and 2/3 are albumins. Its amino acid profile is close to “complete” when compared to more common sources of proteins such as meat, milk, eggs and soy. The proportions of linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid in one tablespoon (15 ml) per day of hemp oil provides human daily requirements for EFAs. As opposed to flaxseed oil, hemp oil can be used continuously without getting a deficiency or other imbalance of EFAs. This has been demonstrated in a clinical study, where the daily ingestion of flaxseed oil decreased the endogenous production of GLA.

Hempseed is an adequate source of calcium and iron. Whole hempseeds are also a good source of phosphorus, magnesium, zinc ,copper and manganese.

Hempseed contains no gluten and therefore would not trigger symptoms of celiac disease

There are eight amino acids the human body cannot make and two more the body cannot make in sufficient quantity, so they are essential to life. A diet deficient in any one of them will eventually cause disease and death. These essential amino acids, along with eleven others the body can make from them, are chained together in accordance to genetic guidelines, via RNA formats from DNA blueprints, into structural proteins that give body to life, and into enzymes (globular proteins) that are needed for the mechanics of living.

Hemp is not unique in containing all the essential amino acids in its embryonic seed. Flax seeds also contain all the essential amino acids as do many other seeds in the plant kingdom. What is unique about hemp seed protein is that 65% of it is globulin edistin. That is the highest in the plant kingdom. If you are on a rapid weight loss diet, hemp can give you the nutrition you need with the fewest calories.

Globulins are one of seven classes of simple proteins. Simple proteins are derived from amino acids and contain no non-protein substances. Globulins are in seeds and animal blood. Edistins are found in seeds; serum globulin is in blood. Edistins are plant globulins. And globulins along with albumins are classified as globular proteins. All enzymes, antibodies, many hormones, hemoglobin and fibrogin (the body converts fibrogin into non-soluble, fibrin, a blood clotting agent) are globular proteins. They are responsible for carrying out the main work of living. The best way to insure the body has enough amino acid material to make the globulins is to eat foods high in globulin proteins.

Since hemp seed protein is 65% globulin edistin, and also includes quantities of albumin, its protein is readily available in a form quite similar to that found in blood plasma. Consuming hemp seeds provides the body all the essential amino acids required to maintain health, and provides the necessary kinds and amounts of amino acids the body needs to make human serum albumin and serum globulins like the immune enhancing gamma globulins. Eating hemp seeds could assist people suffering from immune deficiency diseases.

Hemp foods are expanding onto the shelves of grocery and natural food stores across North America. By definition, these are foods containing whole hemp seeds or the oil, nut (hulled seed) and/or flour (ground seed cake) derived from the seeds.Several examples of currently available hemp food products include salad dressings, nutrition bars, breads, cookies, granola, waffles, nut butter, chips, pasta, frozen deserts and cold-pressed oil supplements. These products are sold for much more than their “hemp cachet” alone; manufacturers promote hemp foods for their exceptional nutritional and taste benefits.

Like other oil seeds, the hemp nut consists mainly of oil (typically 44%), protein (33%) and dietary fiber and other carbohydrates (12%, predominantly from residues of the hull). In addition, the nut contains vitamins (particularly the tocopherols and tocotrienols of the Vitamin E complex), phytosterols and trace minerals. Overall, hemp’s main nutritional advantage over other seeds lies in the composition of its oil, i.e. its fatty acid profile, and in its protein which contains all of the essential amino acids in nutritionally significant amounts and in a desirable ratio.

Hemp oil typically contains less than 10% saturated fatty acids, and no trans-fatty acids, which are particularly detrimental to our blood cholesterol balance.

Hemp protein is also of exceptionally high quality in terms of amino acid (AA) composition and protein structure, the latter affecting digestibility and utilization by the human body.

Hemp’s nutritional advantage over other sources of fats and protein thus lies in its highly desirable balance of basic nutrients. Simply put, when eating hemp seed, nut and/or oil, our body obtains much of what it needs without the caloric ballast of non-essential nutrients. Yet, unlike fish and flax oil supplements and assorted protein powders, properly processed hemp seed offers these benefits with the additional bonus of a nice flavor profile – hemp tastes good. Fresh cold pressed hemp oil and hemp nut, particularly when toasted, add a pleasant nutty flavor to many dishes and packaged food products. Hemp nut and oil therefore are attractive both nutritionally and are appetizing, making them modern food sources.

Arendt Footnotes: Marx, Violence and the American Revolution ~ New Series on the Bryan William Brickner Blog

posted in: Cannabis Science 0

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 24, 2015

Ew Publishing announces Hannah Arendt Footnotes, a 21st century political theory series celebrating her 1958 book, The Human Condition.

The new series on the Bryan William Brickner Blog highlights and celebrates Arendt’s 1958 book via its 21st century applicability. In the first posting, Arendt Footnotes: Marx, Violence and the American Revolution, modernity’s glorification of violence is noted with one exception: 1776.

“Arendt writes as a classic,” offered Ew Publishing’s Bryan W. Brickner, “meaning at the height of the times; she was run out of Germany by fascism, has citizenship in America, and gives back – to generations – with her teachings.”

In January, Brickner published Shivitti: A Review of Ka-Tzetnik 135633’s Vision (2015), and acknowledged Arendt’s work in his book; specifically, the role of otherness in violence.

“Arendt notes that the revolutions of the modern age,” continued Brickner, “share a common (Roman) enthusiasm for politics and the glorification of violence; she makes one exception though, for the American Revolution.”

“In living as a modern before post-modernism,” Brickner closed, “Arendt theorizes with self-assured acuity; often more than most are accustomed to: for example, her Marx hits the mark.”

Brickner has a 1997 political science doctorate from Purdue University and is the author of several political theory books, to include: The Promise Keepers: Politics and Promises (1999), Article the first of the Bill of Rights (2006), and Shivitti: A Review of Ka-Tzetnik 135633’s Vision (2015). He also writes political fiction, such as the novella thereafter (2013), and is the publisher of The Cannabis Papers: A citizen’s guide to cannabinoids (2011) and The Bryan William Brickner Blog, a resource for the political science of constitutions and the biological science of receptors.

Next Ew Publishing: Friday, 27 February, Black History, American Exceptionalism and Carl Sandburg’s Chicago of 1919, a William Abens special on the Bryan William Brickner Blog.

Aliens Are Stealing Weed

Why Aliens Are Stealing Weed

Aliens, as in Extra-terrestrial beings, are stealing massive amounts of Marijuana from un-suspecting growers. Pot Farmers, too embarrassed to tell anyone, and scared of authorities who could arrest them- are caught between a rock and a hard spot. There are three reasons why Alien theft of Cannabis is occurring. First, only planet Earth has the vegetative growth necessary for ideal Herb in this Solar System. Next, the relaxation of Pot Laws and proliferation of Medical Marijuana dispensaries, have created a glut of Marijuana all over the U.S. Finally, Alien beings seem to really dig Weed. If we examine a rich, deep-dark, Nitrogen loaded soil like California or Volcanic-rich Hawaii, with natural Rain and Sun balance, nothing else in the Galaxy comes close! Look at Mercury for example, no water and really hot days with really cold nights- not conducive to Cannabis Cultivation. How about Venus? Its water isn’t liquid, light rays are let in- but not out, and Dust storms sometimes cover the entire Planet.  All through-out the Inter-planetary System, deficiencies of some sort exist. Aliens may have some sort of honing system tuned in to T.H.C. levels. These Trichomosome levels are probably off the charts due to the massive amounts of Pot being produced in the U.S., mega-tons alone just in Cali. In early summer of 1947, Extra-terrestrial debris- including Alien corpses, were retrieved from a Roswell,N.M. crash. Military officials would say that, “a weather balloon”  had crashed. Cali’s border, by UFO standards, is relatively close. An autopsy was performed on the deceased Alien body. Confidential records reveal something interesting. The tiny Alien had 200 times the normal THC content of a student from Northern California. In addition, the Aliens oral cavity was like a combustion chamber, Cannabis incinerator if you like- able to vaporize Marijuana at temperatures unknown to Humans. Until Pot Farmers and authorities come to some kind of Summit regarding these phenomena, all Pot sheds should be locked and guarded with canines- Aliens hate and fear Dogs.
