The New Farming Culture
Agriculture is the main source of income for various economies. With increasing technology, farming and its methods have developed and the options of farming have increased. People are opting for animal husbandry, fruit farming, organic farming and so much more. Food is our necessity and the farmers are using new technologies to increase its productivity.
Organic farming is the need of the hour and farmers are leaving no stones unturned to opt this method. The organic way of farming includes techniques like crop rotation, green manure and compost. The pesticides and fertilizers used are ecological and minimum or no synthetic fertilizers are used. The market for organic farming has grown drastically and had reached $ 55 billion as in 2009. The 0.9% of the total farmland in the world is being used for organic farming i.e. 37,000,000 hectares of land.
Animal husbandry is that part of agriculture where one breeds and raises live stock. It has been practiced for ages but the modern techniques of artificial insemination and embryo transfer has given it a major boost. Machines like incubators for keeping eggs at a certain temperature and other modern farming equipments have helped the animal husbandry business. Dairy farming is a part of animal husbandry and is used to produce dairy products like milk, cheese, curd etc.
Urban agriculture includes various agricultures like animal husbandry, horticulture, agro forestry and aqua culture. Tough the main intention is to provide food and some people do it for recreation also. 800 million people are involved in this business and provide food for millions of urban dwellers.
Orchard farming involves fruits or nut producing trees grown for commercial utilization. Orchards are mostly found near bodies of water and look like beautiful gardens with an amazing line up of trees.
Keeping animals on farms is a regular practice and the farmers use animals to manage the herds and other livestock. The livestock like hen, chicks are always in danger from predators like cats or fox. Dogs are trained to keep a watch on the livestock and scare the predators away. Cat fence is installed to keep small animals out or in as required by the farmer. Sometimes bigger animals like cows or sheep move out of the field for grazing and this may cause a problem for the farmer. Fencing of the field is necessary to keep the livestock protected in the field.
With new techniques and innovative methods it has become simpler for the food producers and the new ways of farming are definitely helping to feed more people and keep the environment green.

Advantage Vertical Farming
It has been estimated that about eighty percent of the total population of our plant will be centralized mainly in the urban segment around 2050. Considering the present scenario and the population growth percentage we can come to a conclusion that the conventional farming process will not be sufficient to feed this enormous populace across the world. As per the present statistics and based on FAO source it can be said that excepting the inefficient management in some countries the remaining land for cultivation stands to approximately 60% of the total land. Unfortunately this will be inadequate to meet the food necessity of the increased inhabitants.
Here comes the idea of indoor farm housing. Matter of fact indoor farm or a glasshouse production is not a very new idea. We are quite aware of growing different types of herbs, shrubs and some vegetables like beans, peas and tomatoes in interior arrangement and farming. If those ideas can be implemented in broader sense, can we come to any conclusion? Yes, it is absolutely possible by the method of vertical farming. However two factors are to be taken into account that vertical farming should be efficiently constructed so that the operating becomes easier and safe. In a centrally located place of township the vertical farming house should be made in a multistoried construction. The proper implementation of the concept can produce the results like
Increase of huge production to sustain the population growth.
Variety of food production.
An all over implementation of systematic and scientific method.
Cultivation throughout the year.
Eco friendly cultivation.
The greatest advantage of the vertical farming is the certainty in cultivation of crops. Let us have a look to the yearly production and the quantity of damaged crops in different countries all over the world due to the natural calamities. Every year we loss crops in millions of tons due to flood, draught, cyclone hurricane like disasters. Mainly the developing countries are still having lot of shortcomings to fight against such calamities. Unfortunately despite of the fact that agriculture is one of the main occupations of a greater percentage of the people in those developing countries but the precautionary measure to stand against nature is still not up to the standard. The vertical farming can help us a lot to save our cultivated crops and to get the maximum output of it to stand firmly with the growing population.

US, Unlike China, Faces Drought of Common Sense on Hemp, Says Publius
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 30, 2012
As the devastating consequences of drought throughout the US become more apparent, authors of The Cannabis Papers: A Citizen’s Guide to Cannabinoids (2011), note the drought of common sense regarding hemp economics in the US – though not in China.
“Hempseed provides a perfect balance of fatty omega acids, as well as protein and other benefits,” said Steve Young, who worked on The Cannabis Papers as well as produced Government Grown: How Polo Illinois Helped Win The War (2009), a documentary on US hemp production during World War II. “Unfortunately, the federal government has been unwavering in its commitment to keep American hemp away from American consumers for several decades.”
Known throughout history as a source of rope, textiles and medicine, hemp also offers great nutritional value for humans and animals alike. The cultivation of hemp is banned throughout the United States.
Added Young: “Hemp prohibition is utterly insane and shows how out of step we are with the rest of the world. Many people know American farmers cannot grow hemp; hardly anyone knows China leads the world in hemp industries – and it’s a growing industry.”
Notably, a 2012 investor’s report was optimistic regarding investment in China’s hemp economies: “No one in America makes the argument that China – and not the US – should lead the way in developing hemp industries; yet the investor’s report is clear – China is developing something new – call it “Hemponomics” – that’s what the report suggests.”
Young noted allowing investors to put their money into US hemp farms would be beneficial for the American economy.
“During this year’s drought, we could have been growing hemp in places where other crops couldn’t grow. The time to pretend there is anything good from hemp prohibition has ended; maintaining that delusion is creating an economic windfall for China, and a reciprocal economic loss for America.”
Last Quarter Growth Curve on the Rise for Industrial Hemp and Medical Marijuana Stocks
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) November 29, 2012
Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. (OTC: HEMP) and industrial hemp veteran, whose company led the industry’s 4th quarter growth curve last, gave insight on how the last quarter in 2012 will end.
According to Bruce Perlowin, “So far, the last quarter for the Fabulous Four hemp and marijuana stocks are showing a strong growth curve as the end of the last quarter nears, as they did last year. Massive media campaigning makes people outside our industry aware of this huge industry that’s growing phenomenally. “
With marijuana legalized now, how will it benefit the American people and the economy? Industry analysts are optimistic and foresee a creation of a new and highly profitable agricultural industry, increased trade opportunities, an increase in the gross national product (GNP), improved environmental conditions, new tax resources, and reduced costs with respect to enforcement of current laws. According to http://www.govtrac.us, The Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2012, alone, amends “the Controlled Substances Act to exclude industrial hemp from the definition of marihuana, and for other purposes.” With all eyes on the industrial hemp and medical marijuana industry, coupled with the benefits of legalization, savvy investors are beginning to invest heavily.
Hemp, Inc.’s (OTC: HEMP) CEO, Bruce Perlowin, has accumulated over 500,000 shares in GreenGro Technologies, Inc.; over 5 million in Grow Life, Inc.; and, twenty-one million shares in Medical Marijuana, Inc. Even though his favorite is his own (Hemp, Inc. (OTC: HEMP)) he has started strategically investing in other marijuana industry stocks. “I know these stocks are going to go through the roof this last quarter just as they did last year,” says Perlowin.
While the average non-investor may not have a clue, market awareness surrounding the industrial hemp and medical marijuana industries is informative and can be very persuasive. With Massachusetts legalizing medical marijuana, more people are thinking about opening dispensaries, growing medical marijuana, or getting paid better wages as trimmers. Everyone, from real estate investors to other hard-hit sectors of the economy, are sleuthing the industry.
While some are courageous enough to open dispensaries and grow, most are leaping to invest in marijuana stocks. Simply put, it is a mature and aged industry reality in the American marketplace. The publicity surrounding the marijuana industry has attracted the average American investor and newbie investors (from your auto mechanic workers to your stay-at-home moms) and foreign interests. “Everybody wants in on ‘the next big thing’. Think of it as another dot.com explosion,” says Perlowin.
He adds, “The smart investor has already started accumulating stock.” Perlowin’s investment strategy seems to be already paying off. The two million shares he bought of Grow Life, Inc. the first ten days in October increased 39.9% on October 11, 2012 (that was the date the pre-election spike started two years ago when Prop 19 in California was on the ballot). During Prop 19, the stock skyrocketed and then fell. However, this past election, the steadiness of the marijuana stocks signal the industry is here to stay.
Forging a path in the industrial hemp industry, while educating consumers on the many uses of industrial hemp, Hemp, Inc. (OTC: HEMP) (http://www.hemp.com), is also producing hemp-based products proven to increase the body’s overall health and performance. The company boasts HerbaGenix™ nutraceuticals (http://www.herbagenix.com); BasicHemp (http://www.basichemp.com), their hemp protein shakes brand; and, custom-branded MJ Lover for Him and MJ Lover for Her (http://www.mjlover.com) and Re-Load Hemp nutraceuticals (http://www.re-load.biz) which is derived from a blend of organic nutrients, herbs, and vitamins including hemp extract (0.00% THC) and AFA blue-green algae which is known for its healthful effects.
Not only has the company been flooding the market with health products, its CEO, Bruce Perlowin is quite the philanthropist, according to inside sources. “Bruce Perlowin is an interesting character. Very philanthropic. His journey reminds me of the ‘Catch Me If You Can’ movie,” says David Tobias, President of Hemp, Inc. (OTC: HEMP).
Perlowin’s ‘people and planet before profits’ business approach and philanthropic deeds are evident. He donates to Dr. Patch Adams’ of Gesundheit! Institute who is building a 50 million dollar, free children’s hospital in West Virginia. The institute is a not-for-profit health care organization and is a project in holistic medical care based on the belief that one cannot separate the health of the individual from the health of the family, the community, the world, and the health care system itself (see PatchAdams.org). Other efforts Perlowin donates prolifically to include the Cash Hyde Foundation Fundraiser with Tommy Chong (CashHydeFoundation.com); The CanDo Kids Project (CanDokidsworld.org); C Bar J Horsehaven Rescue, in Dolan Springs, Arizona (cbarjrescue.wetpaint.com); Spread Peace USA – Feeding the Homeless (facebook.com/spreadpeaceusa); and, Keepers of the Wild, to build an 1,800 acre animal sanctuary on 4,000 acres in Dolan Springs, Arizona (KeepersOfTheWild.org).

Saquito Mix LLC Announces Partnership with Barefoot Seeds NGO
Palm Beach Gardens, FL (PRWEB) March 19, 2013
Emerging chia energy mix, Saquito Mix LLC will now be donating 1 percent of its sales revenue to the non-profit organization Barefoot Seeds in order to help in their efforts to provide water, legal and heirloom seed agricultural services to the Tarahumara people of Mexico.
“The Tarahumara are the source of inspiration for our chia seed based energy food product and we want to express our gratitude to them in this small way” says Jonathan Carroll, chief business officer at Saquito MIx LLC. The founders of Saquito learned about the Tarahumara and their use of chia seed for endurance running in Christopher McDougall’s best selling book Born To Run, and saw the opportunity to develop an energy food that not only incorporated chia seed but also made use of one of the traditional methods of use by the Tarahumara, as a loose mixture in a small pouch. Saquito Mix LLC calls their product a chia energy mix, a product that consists of chia and hemp seeds along with a variety of other natural superfoods, spices and sweeteners, as a loose mixture in a small and portable biodegradable plastic package.
“I came up with the name Saquito by Googling spanish names for the word pouch and sack, thinking of the pouch of chia seeds the Tarahumara carry on long journeys, as soon as I saw it I knew it was a perfect name for our product and company” says Zach Azeez CEO and product inventor at Saquito Mix LLC, “This product and our company is so intimately connected with the ideas from the Tarahumara that when we learned about the work that Barefoot Seeds does we knew that we needed to help them however we could.”
Barefoot Seeds directly assists Tarahumara farmers by providing them with native maize seeds, basic tools, and assistance with water resources and land protection. 100 percent of all donations go directly to establishing grassroots seed banks for Tarahumara farmers. Barefoot Seeds also provide water and irrigation, basic tools, micro-loans, and other support. Their founder Will Harlan has spent many years with the Tarahumara, modeling his own farm after their practices. Harlan has also built relationships with the people, providing direct assistance to the Tarahumara farmers who need it most. Drought, logging, and soil erosion have made subsistence farming even more difficult for the Tarahumara, and many farmers lack the resources to continue growing their ancient varieties of corn. Barefoot Seeds provides the seeds and tools to enable Tarahumara to continue their traditional farming and running culture.
Saquito was founded in 2012 and is the producer of the world’s first chia energy mix – a unique blend of superfoods consisting primarily of chia seed with an overall low sugar content, packaged in 40g units, in a custom biodegradable plastic package. Saquito Mix LLC is based out of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
